Summary
Canine leishmaniosis is a disease caused by a flagellate protozoan, genus Leishmania. Symptoms are various and non-specific and can be the expression both of the cutaneous and visceral form. The prevalence of skin lesions associated to leishmania infection is up to 90%.
In this paper, the Authors describe the main features of cutaneous leishmaniosis and report some atypical cases.
