Summary
Veterinarians can make daily use of complementary medicine in their clinics. In order to have positive results using this therapy, it is fundamental that veterinarians have a thorough knowledge of the various branches of alternative medicine. In Italy, there are various schools offering annual courses, based both in theory and practice, that allow students to acquire the basics of the various disciplines. In this article, we would like to offer some interesting ideas regarding the treatment of depression and mourning in our beloved animals, a subject often underestimated by allopathic medicine.
